“There’s a big difference between fearlessness and courage, although they sound very similar, the difference is critical. Fearlessness is jumping off the cliff and not thinking about it. That’s idiotic. Courage on the other hand is acknowledging how terrified you are, analyzing the consequences, and then deciding you care so much about it you are still going to take one thoughtful step forward anyway.” Alex Banayan

I heard this quote from an author this morning. It resonated loudly within me. We’ve had record rain fall here in Texas for the past two months. It’s weather. It happens. But boy, it can also toy with your emotions. Most days we recognize the leap of faith we took by moving our whole lives from a place where we knew everyone to a place where we knew no one was God-directed. But then the rain comes, literally and figuratively. The grayness persists and the enemy seizes the moment and pokes and prods and causes us to doubt. Did we really hear right? Are we doing what we are supposed to be doing?

Today the sun is shining again. It’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL fall weather in Texas and everything feels right in the world. We are taking time each day to start with a grateful heart – for our health, for our families, for our boys, for the community that have adopted us in here in Argyle. For the business we have created, for the home we are building and for the future homebuyers who we don’t even know yet who will make our vision their family’s story.

Never ever let fear hold you back from that thing God is whispering to your heart. Pray, analyze the conseqences, and take that thoughtful step forward.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joashua 1:9

And then this sunset tonight… Thank you, God.
